What a Little Ribbon can DO!!!

So, here was my dilemma--redoing the bathroom on the main floor. I had the paint, the rugs, took the partition door out and put up curtains to separate the bathroom from the laundry room. I put up new pictures, border, and accessories. There was still a problem---the mirror. It was just a mirror. No frame or border of any kind--just a plain mirror. The wall is white, boarder and some shells--it needs some PUNCH!


So, its just before the 4th of July, which we always host and I am searching for an easy dress-me-up for my mirror. Not that there is truly any rush, but I was hoping to finish this piece and its been gnawing at me for nearly a year. I decided to use RIBBON to make the border around the mirror. I hit Walmart, found some ribbon that not only matched the boarder and rug coloring, but also the curtain partition. I cut the pieces to fit and use a little tacky glue to stick it right on the mirror. Now I needed something in the corners just to cover the seams from the ribbon. WHALA--a few buttons with the appropriate colors and its DONE. I have a frame around the mirror that not only finishes the mirror, but its unique and easily removed when I want a change.
